Types of Visas for Visiting Tamil Nadu

Tourist Visa (e-Tourist Visa)
Validity: Up to 1 year
For tourists visiting India for recreation, sightseeing, casual visits to meet friends/relatives.
Requirements:
- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity
- Return ticket
- Sufficient funds
- Hotel bookings/accommodation details
Business Visa
Validity: Up to 1-5 years
For business meetings, attending conferences, or establishing business ventures.
Requirements:
- Valid passport
- Business letter from employer
- Letter of invitation from Indian business partner
- Proof of financial standing
Medical Visa
Validity: Up to 1 year
For medical treatment in India. Allows up to 3 entries.
Requirements:
- Letter from Indian hospital
- Medical records
- Proof of financial arrangements for treatment
- Details of treatment plan
Application Process
- Apply Online: Complete the application form on the official e-Visa website (https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/).
- Upload Documents: Submit a recent passport-sized photograph and a scan of your passport's biographical page.
- Pay Fee: Pay the visa fee online using a credit/debit card.
- Receive ETA: After processing, you will receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) by email.
- Entry to India: Present your ETA and passport upon arrival for the final visa stamping.
